Most people do not realize not everyone can represent them in a home purchase transaction but most do believe any 'body' can do my job. I would never consider going to a non accredited facility for any services or purchases. I won't buy a car from a friend or a house from my neighbor. I advise potential buyers' to speak with an accredited buyers agent (ABR) for two reasons. First, it doesn't cost them anything as my fees are paid by the seller and second if my sign is in the yard it is my interest to sell the home quickly and to whomever. This is not in your interest even when I am the REALTOR. I have listed and sold homes but I have to explain Dual Agency and Designated Agency fully and succinctly. |
